The benefits of studying Wing Chun Kung Fu are holistic, traversing all aspects of life. The relationships forged in its study will be grounded in trust, honor and discipline. For these reasons, to be considered a West Coast Wing Chun student is to be considered a member of our Kung Fu family. This relationship and inclusion into our family should not be taken lightly and requires a high level of discipline, loyalty,self and mutual respect. It is of the utmost importance to uphold and embrace the long standing traditions and ethics passed down from our Wing Chun ancestors. We strive to honor our lineage and heritage of Authentic Ip Man family Wing Chun Kung Fu taught to us by our Grand Master Samuel Kwok.

The following guidelines and requirements have been created to allow "all" individuals a fair opportunity to become a West Coast Wing Chun student irrespective of martial art experience.

1. All Prospective students must first successfully complete and pass our "Intro to Wing Chun Boot-camp" class before being accepted as a West Coast Wing Chun student/family member. The curriculum has been designed to prepare the prospective student for entry into our current ongoing classes. Upon successful completion of the course the prospective student will posses a foundational understanding of Wing Chun theory, concepts and principles,basic defense,attacks(strikes),stances, footwork and the complete Siu Lim Tao form. This is a three month course and is very intensive. Discipline and personal practice outside of class is critical.

2. To enroll in the "intro to Wing Chun Boot-camp" class, contact Sifu Bryan Talbot - Write a short letter explaining why you would like to become a West coast Wing Chun student and why you are interested in the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Please include some general background about yourself and martial art experience (if any).

3. After contacting Sifu Bryan you may be invited to attend a trial class. Guests will be allowed to participate in the group warm up drills, Siu Lim Tao form and Qi Gong meditation practice. The training can be rigorous and may last up to an hour. Bring water with you. When finished, guests may stay to observe the practical class lesson.

4. Guests will be required to wear a white Tee shirt and black sweats or athletic pants.

5. As our invited guest please be respectful of our kwoon rules and students. Our family will welcome you.

6.Please DO NOT "drop in" during class time unannounced. Class time is dedicated to a high level of uninterrupted instruction for West Coast Wing Chun students.
